May 6, 2015 – The official 2015 National Nurses Week begins May 6 and extends through May 12. This week, Well Care joins the rest of the nation in celebrating the pillars of our healthcare system. Nurses touch the lives of so many, bringing comfort and healing to patients and their families during very difficult times. In a recent news release, National Association of Home and Hospice Care President, Val J. Halamandaris, said “Nurses are worthy of our profound respect and heartfelt gratitude for consistently putting the needs of others before their own.” We could not agree more!

Well Care alone employs over 150 nurses serving more than 2,500 patients each day. These skilled clinicians work long days, traveling to the homes of patients, compassionately tending to healthcare needs. “We often receive notes and phone calls from patients expressing gratitude for what their nurse did for them,” said Wanda Coley, Well Care’s chief operating officer. “I’m always astounded to learn how far above and beyond these nurses go for our patients.”

Well Care would like to recognize all nurses for your dedication to your patients and profession. Your contributions are vital to the health and wellbeing of society. Thank you for all you do.

Happy National Nurses Week!
