ADVANCE, NC, and GREENSBORO, NC, April 11, 2018 — Well Care Health is pleased to announce the addition of its home care services in Guilford County. The agency now offers private duty nursing, personal care and companionship services to the greater Greensboro community.

Well Care already provides skilled, home health care in Guilford County which includes skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, medical social work, and home health aide services. These skilled home health services combined with the addition of Well Care’s new, home care footprint brings a full suite of in-home care options to Guilford County. Well Care’s fully-integrated in-home care model will help patients heal and thrive in the comfort of their own homes, and bring more health care options to the region’s medical community.

“We are thrilled to expand our home care services into Guilford County,” said Mary Alice Mirek, Well Care Health’s Director of Home Care Operations. “Well Care Health is committed to providing a holistic approach to in-home patient care by collaborating with our skilled, home health care colleagues. We look forward to bringing a differentiation of care to the region’s patients and partnering with the Guilford County medical community,” Mirek added.

In addition to this service expansion, Well Care Health has opened a new office in Greensboro to better meet the needs of the community. The company will bring jobs to the region by hiring more clinical staff including nurses, therapists, social workers, and home health aides to accommodate the agency’s increasing patient population in Guilford County. Well Care will host an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony at its new Greensboro office for members of the medical community, along with clinical professionals seeking employment opportunities.

Guilford County is the third most populated county in North Carolina and home to more than 12,000 home health patients, according to the State Medical Facilities Plan.

Well Care’s home health branches across North Carolina earned JCAHO accreditation and Deemed Status by the Joint Commission in October 2017, granting each agency the official stamp of approval in high quality patient care. Each home health branch was also named a Top Agency of the 2017 HomeCare Elite®, recognition of the top-performing home health agencies in the United States. Additionally, Well Care’s Triad branch has received a 4.5-star rating by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), placing it among the top home health agencies in the nation. Well Care Health plans to grow in North Carolina and across state lines in the future.
