Well Care’s highly skilled professionals have been providing health care in the home to the residents of Southeastern North Carolina since the 1980s, and as a result, we understand the important role caregivers play in our community.
This is why we are the founding sponsor of The Greater Wilmington Business Journal’s Health Care Heroes awards program, which honors individuals and organizations making a significant impact on the quality of health care in Wilmington.
“We are honored to once again partner with the Greater Wilmington Business Journal to maintain this recognition event,” said Wayne Long, Well Care Founder and CEO.
“Since 2010, this affair has highlighted the remarkable volunteers and medical professionals serving the citizens of the Cape Fear region. These individuals are among the best in the state, and we are honored to celebrate their greatness.”
Caregivers including physicians, nurses, first responders and volunteers, will be honored in a ceremony on Saturday at Union Station.
A panel of judges reviewed each of the nominations submitted by community members and selected three finalists for the 10 award categories of Community Achievement, Community Outreach, First Responder, Health Care Executive, Health Care Professional, Innovation, Nurse, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, Physician and Volunteer.
Congratulations to all the nominees!
