Well Care Home Health has announced Brian Merck, PT, as the new Director of Operations for its Triangle branch, with Jessica Williams, RN being named the Director of Operations for Well Care’s Triad branch.

Merck, a Physical Therapist, will oversee all clinical operations in the Triangle market.  He comes to Well Care with 15 years of clinical leadership experience.  Most recently, Merck was an Area Manager and oversaw multiple facilities across North Carolina, including within the home health and post acute care arenas.  He was also a partner in an outpatient private practice in Raleigh.

Merck found his previous home health care experience very rewarding and was waiting for the right opportunity to jump back into the arena. “The Director of Operations role with Well Care is the opportunity I was looking for,” he said.  “Well Care’s reputation for quality, patient-driven care and forward-thinking business practices was very appealing to me.”

Merck holds a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Western Carolina University.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and attending his two sons’ sporting events. Merck is also active within his church community.

Jessica Williams joined Well Care’s Wilmington branch in 2013 as a Registered Nurse (RN) Case Manager, where she worked in the field and provided direct, one-on-one patient care. She was later promoted to Clinical Manager and successfully led her team of interdisciplinary clinicians in coordinating care and improving the patient experience.

In the Director of Operations role, Williams will oversee all clinical operations in the Triad market, one of the fastest growing medical communities in North Carolina. She will lead daily functions, cross collaborating with teams both internally and externally within the medical community.

Williams is passionate about making a difference in patients’ lives and employee engagement.  “The home health care industry by nature is deeply personal and meaningful in its approach to patient care,” she said. “The Triad region is a thriving health care hub, and I look forward to making Well Care an integral part of patients live, and to the medical community at large.”

A graduate of James Sprunt Community College, Williams holds an Associate degree in Nursing, and is currently working to enroll in the RN to MSN program at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters and coaching their softball teams.
