Meet Justina Foster, Team Assistant

Meet Justina Foster, Team Assistant

By:  Well Care, LLC Editor

You don’t have to be a clinician to appreciate compassionate patient care. That’s Justina Foster’s motto!
As a Team Assistant in Raleigh for Well Care Home Health of the Triangle, Justina works closely with the clinical field staff in scheduling patients for treatment. A self-proclaimed nerd, Justina explains her love for patient care, even in a supportive, non-clinical role.

Here’s Justina’s story:

Hometown:  Zebulon, NC

Job Title:  Team Assistant (Raleigh)

Time at Well Care:  3 years

Q. Why did you embark on a career in health care?
A. There will always be a need for health care, so I figured the medical field would be a great career path. I wanted to be able to learn a variety of different things and grow with a company. I found that health care provides the variety I was looking for.

Q. Why did you transition into Home Health?
A. I wanted to learn about the home health industry and gain more experience in supporting field clinicians. I like being able to connect patients with their clinical team of nurses and therapists who will be caring for them inside the home setting.

Q. Why did you decide to join the Well Care team?
A. It was comforting to see Well Care’s consistent growth over the years, and it has not slowed down. I appreciate the growth opportunities the company provides, which will allow me to excel professionally. I also appreciate Well Care’s philosophy on ensuring the best patient care is delivered. I knew I wanted to be part of a team that shared the same interest in compassionate, patient-focused care.

Q. What do you like most about your job, and why?
A. I love working alongside my office colleagues who support the clinical staff. The field clinicians who provide care every day are also great to work with. Many of them go above and beyond, offering to see patients outside of their normal territories, just to pitch in and help their teammates. Their compassion for patients is wonderful to see.

Q. What’s the one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
A. I have a small farm with 25 chickens. I’m also a nerd who loves video games, technology, and Japanese anime.

Q. What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
A. I often refer to my favorite line from “Gone with the Wind” — “after all, tomorrow is another day.”

Q. What’s next for you and your career at Well Care?

A. I am currently in school working towards my Associate’s degree in Health Science. I’d love to grow more at Well Care! I’m interested in Information Technology where I can provide even more support to the clinical staff caring for our patients. Although I’m not a clinician seeing patients, I can still be part of the team and work on the back end, using advanced tech
