Giving Back

Keeping our Communities
Healthy, Happy, and at Home

Helping others is at the heart of what we do. Literally. Our team of compassionate caregivers and healthcare professionals is dedicated to ensuring that our patients and their families are healthy, happy, and at home. But it doesn’t stop there…

At Well Care, we are incredibly passionate about giving back to the hundreds of communities we serve and the neighborhoods where we live and work. You will always find our team leading the way, whether it’s organizing holiday food drives or running a 5K for charity. Some of our favorite recent events and volunteer activities have included National Wear Red Day for the American Heart Association, Breast Cancer awareness activities, Toys for Tots, Habitat for Humanity, Thanksgiving food drives, and more.

Participating
in our Community

In addition to supporting non-profit organizations across the Carolinas, Well Care also gives back by participating in and sponsoring activities and community recognition events such as local Healthcare Heroes celebrations, YWCA Women of Achievement Awards, WILMA Women to Watch, Cape Fear Life Care Festival of Trees and more.

Well Care Strong

In an emergency or when natural disaster strikes, the Well Care team is always at the ready, even if they have been affected themselves. After Hurricane Florence in 2018, many of our coastal team members couldn’t reach their homes due to extreme flooding or without power and supplies for days. The Well Care leadership team and the employee team in Wilmington (many dealing with after-effects of the storm in their neighborhood) immediately rallied to gather food and supplies, find housing for co-workers, and more.
