Sheila Ellison, Vice President of Information Services, is an accomplished healthcare technology executive with more than 20 years of experience leading technology and operational initiatives within complex healthcare environments. She has extensive experience aligning technology with clinical and business needs to improve patient care, support employees, and strengthen day-to-day operations.
Throughout her career, Sheila has led significant technology initiatives, including system implementations, IT operations, and innovation efforts. Her expertise spans electronic health record (EHR) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) optimization, interoperability, AI strategy, governance, and data-driven decision-making. Previously, she served as Head of IT Innovation and Enterprise Transformation at Tidelands Health and as Director of Business Operations at SE Medical Consulting.
Sheila holds a Master of Health Information Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Management Science from the University of South Carolina. Her professional certifications include Certified Professional in Digital Health Transformation Strategy (CPDHTS), Prosci Certified Change Practitioner, and Project Management Professional (PMP). Sheila is actively involved in the health IT community and has held leadership positions with SCHIMSS, the South Carolina chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society. She is also passionate about mentoring women in healthcare technology leadership.
Fun Facts: Sheila resides in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, with her husband, who is an orthopedic spine surgeon. They have four children and two Bernedoodles, Gronk and Cash.
